Courtney had her tonsils removed this morning.She is so good about things that the doctors want to do.They gave her some Looney Tunes pj's and really thick socks to wear.
Courtney had her grandpa there(my dad)He showed up a little before 6am and rode with us to Wilford Hall(The Air Force Hosp.)
The doctors and staff there are really nice especially with children.They let me go back with her before going to the operating room.Courtney brought her little pink horse with her and they even let her take it to surgery with her.This pic. is right before they took her to the operating room.
1hr and 15mins. later her surgery was over.Dr.Boston said her tonsils were inflamened and hiding infection.He said she has probably had tonsilites for a while.Because they were so bad she bleed alot and he had to cartorize alot.She is having more pain than normal because of this.When i first saw her she was crying in pain and asking me to make it stop.I felt like somebody just ripped my heart out and stomped on it.They gave her alot of pain meds and she feel asleep.Courtney did have some problems with her asthma and was weezing but her rescue inhaler helped her.
5hrs. later we finally get to go home.Courtney looks pretty good here but by the time we got home she was in pain again.So mommy to the rescue with some pain meds.
Sorry about the picture but i did not have very many lights on since my poor little baby is sleeping.They must be good pain meds.
After a long and painfull day both Courtney and her pony are resting after surgery.
