We are in Doggie Boot camp

I have been walking Marley to school with the girls and i realize he has no manners. The walk on the way home gets a little better but he still chokes himself alot because of the choke collar i put on him.He just needs to learn to get pull on it and he would not choke. Oh well he is only 6 months so he will learn.

We are finally over the H1N1 flu and I am hoping for a flu free fall and winter.Everyone say prayers for us because Courtney gets everything. She will be getting the Flu shot and she is really good about shots and giving blood. You should see her it is as though she is an adult when it comes to medical things. Now the eye doctor she can not stand because she hates her eyes dilated.I cant blame her I dont like that either.

Well I hope everyone has a great week illness free and alot of happiness in their life.

Dont forget to visit my online store at http://www.dcrcreationsstore.com We have holiday and soon will have fall and winter handbags and acceriores

Old Pics

Now my girls look like this..I cant believe how fast these years have pasted.I also have to throw one in there the love of my life and my self when he retired from the military.

Looking at old pictures!!

You know i was looking at the old pictures on the side of my blog and reliezed how much I have forgotten about what i did with my kids when they where little.I also felt bad about not remembering how special my kids where when times were tough. When Robert was deployed to Iraq I took the girls everywhere and forgot about the special times we had at the beach, the park, and even the house. So i thought i would post some pics of my girls when they were little.(If you see me in them I was so skinny I could only wish to be like that now.)

For Anyone who ever lost a pet.You will want to read this.

Rainbow Bridge:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Courtney had to go to the doctor

Well around 3:00pm Courtney said she could taste blood in her mouth.I called the ENT and the nurse said to take her to her doctor and get it checked. She has also had some problems with her asthma she has had to use her rescue inhaler 3 times today and most of the time she may need it once a week. Her doctor said that her throat is swollen (but it should be since her surgery was just yesterday)but there is no free flowing blood. She does have some fluid in her lungs and possible infection.Anyways he put her on antibiotic, steriods, and a nebulizer(I dont know how to spell it).She has been sick to her stomach and has finally went to sleep.Pray that tomorrow is a better day.

Courtney update

We had a bad night last night.Courtney is in alot of pain. The doctors gave her tylenol with codeine and alternate with motrin. She has been running a fever but they say that is normal unless it get to 101.5 or higher. It breaks my heart to watch her in so much pain.Everytime she swallows it hurts. She has started drinking a little more which is really good. This picture was taking this morning she has been hanging on to her pony that had surgery with her.I hope we get alot of rest today for her sake and mine.

I know this picture is bad but Kelsey wanted a picture with Courtney before she went to school.Kelsey is very sweet to Courtney when she is not feeling well.Kelsey pretty much becomes her nurse it is so sweet to watch.

Kelsey wore an outfit with hearts all over it for her Valentines party at school today.Kelsey woke up this morning running a low grade fever but wanted to go to school anyways.I gave her some motrin and sent her to school.Around 9am the nurse called and now Kelsey is home. She really wanted to be there today for the party but she just does not feel well.
I hope everyone has a nice Valentines Day and good weekend!!

Courtneys Surgery

Courtney had her tonsils removed this morning. She is so good about things that the doctors want to do.They gave her some Looney Tunes pj's and really thick socks to wear.

Courtney had her grandpa there(my dad)He showed up a little before 6am and rode with us to Wilford Hall(The Air Force Hosp.)

The doctors and staff there are really nice especially with children. They let me go back with her before going to the operating room.Courtney brought her little pink horse with her and they even let her take it to surgery with her. This pic. is right before they took her to the operating room.

1hr and 15mins. later her surgery was over.Dr.Boston said her tonsils were inflamened and hiding infection. He said she has probably had tonsilites for a while.Because they were so bad she bleed alot and he had to cartorize alot. She is having more pain than normal because of this. When i first saw her she was crying in pain and asking me to make it stop.I felt like somebody just ripped my heart out and stomped on it.They gave her alot of pain meds and she feel asleep.Courtney did have some problems with her asthma and was weezing but her rescue inhaler helped her.

5hrs. later we finally get to go home.Courtney looks pretty good here but by the time we got home she was in pain again. So mommy to the rescue with some pain meds.

Sorry about the picture but i did not have very many lights on since my poor little baby is sleeping. They must be good pain meds.

After a long and painfull day both Courtney and her pony are resting after surgery.
THE END.

December 2,2008 Courtneys Performance

The girls had a Christmas program on the 2nd of Dec. this is Courtneys part and I hope to have Kelseys out here sometime tonight. My mom has helped me to figure out how to put videos out here so I have a bunch to put together so check back often.

Christmas Decorations

The girls and Robert set up the Christmas Decorations a couple of weeks ago. They had so much fun although I think they liked climbing in the tree better. We also went and got our Christmas tree and roasted marshmallows in the fire place I guess we did alot that day.It has been really hard to get into the Christmas spirit I guess it is because I don't feel very well lately.I am so glad that Robert took charge and got the house decorated if not we would have probably still had the turkey out there.Well i guess I will work on some more movies I will have the girls Christmas performance and Kelsey's Birthday party.

Last Week

I know I have not posted anything in a while.Last week was none stop Robert was in the hosiptal on Tues. and Wed. and then had to recoup at home on Thurs.Tuesday around noon Robert called and said his chest was hurting and in about 30min it got worse so his friend took him to the ER.He spent about 7hrs in the waiting room till a doctor finally saw him thank goodness it was not a heart attack. When the doctor finally saw him he decided to keep Robert overnight and do a bunch of heart test.Robert's dad has had some heart attacks and some heart surgeries so they were consindered. On Wednesday they did a stress test and a ct scan and everything looked okay. The only thing wrong was that his blood pressure was high and they are thinking that the chest pain was from his acid refluxes. For all the test they had so shave roberts chest he is very itchey and of course I had to take a picture. Also in the picture robert had a really bad headache and they gave two percocets that make him look really high.He is also not a good person to take pain meds he gets very moody and tired.I thought everyone would get a good laugh at the picture.

Kelsey had her birthday sleep over last Sat. and I hope to get those pics and videos out here tomorrow.

My Wife

I am posting this entry in my wife's Texas mom blog.I know my wife has written about me in several of her daily postings. But I have yet to post until now. I just want to take a few minutes to tell those of you who read this, just what I think of my wife. I have been married to her for the last ten years. And it has been the most incredible ten years that I could have ever imagined.Carmen is the strongest person I have ever known. As you all have probably already read, my wife has been going through a very difficult and sometimes frustrating medical issue. But she continues to strive and is always there (for me and the girls) when ever we need her. She never once says NO or I can't.....When Carmen came into my life, it was like the heavens opened and the LORD sent me the most wonderful gift (an ANGEL). She has made me a much stronger, loving, and dedicated family man. Not just as a father but as a husband, and devoted friend. I have been very busy in my education and my career, I come home some nights and begin to complain or in fact get upset for no reason. And for that HONEY I am truly sorry, you are the most precious jewel in my life. You have given 2 very beautiful girls, who I Idolize and think the world of. Carmen my love I am so sorry for not telling you or showing you how much you and the girls mean to me. Without you in my life, well I would be lost and confused.Sweetheart; Thank you for being my wife and not giving up on me.I Know that I have not been the most appreciative husband. But Carmen(my love, every day I look at you, I still get butterflies, and my heartskips a beat). So for those of you that are reading this: You will understand that the love I have for my wife although I don't show it. I love her more than words will ever begin to express.
Robert

Nothing Accomplished Today

Well everything I said I was going to do I did not.I took the girls to school and came back home and fell on the couch and did not move until 1pm when I need to take a shower to go and pick the girls up from school. We did go to get Kelsey's ears pierced but at the last minute she said she will wait until she is 7 which is in 2 weeks.Courtney did get a new pair of earrings they dangle with dolphins on them.
Robert was home tonight I think that is the first time since Friday that the girls and I have seen him for more than an 30min.He was with us at the Christmas performance but it was such a rush and a late evening that we did not get to visit with him.He did homework with the girls tonight and got there showers done so that was a nice break for me.I cleaned up the kitchen and dejunked the counters while he was doing that.
I am going to try my plan again tomorrow I hope.I think if I just come home and not sit down and just go for a walk that it will help me to get motative to clean this horrible house.
Hope everyone has a nice evening.

A Good December

We are finally over are illnesses and back to normal life. The girls had their Christmas program Tuesday and they both had parts.Kelsey was an angel in the manger scene and Courtney had a solo for a Hanukkah song. They both did a really good job I took alot of pictures and Robert video recorded it I am hoping to get them on here today or tomorrow.
I have not had alot of energy lately because of whatever is going on inside me and my house has paid for it.I dont think I have ever seen it this bad I would be so embaresed for anyone to come over.So I thought I would go for a walk today after I take the girls to school(Before my side started hurting I was walking 4 to 5 miles aday and had alot of energy)I am hoping that then I will feel better and want to clean this messy house.I think Robert being in the military he expects everything to be spotless and I know that the house has been bothering him.He works and goes to school so much that the last thing he wants to do is come home and clean especially since I have been home all day.He is very understanding about how I feel and says he has never seen me so tired and not doing anything.
So I am going to start this day out with a fresh attitude and try and keep my spirits up and accomplish things today.
One more thing Kelsey wants to go get her ears pierced today her BFF Chloe just got hers done and now Kelsey wants to do it too.I have been trying for a couple of years to get her to do it and all it took was her friend doing it and she wants to be just like her.Courtney would also like a new pair of earings she has very sensitive ears and can only wear 24k gold. She has had the same pair for a couple of years and I know she would like to be able to change them out.
I wish everyone a most wonderful December!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Puerly American

I am glad to say that Courtney is finally back to herself the bad news is I have been up since 2:30 this morning with it.Robert went out this morning with the girls to get some breakfast(Not alot of places open)they went to HEB (our grocery store)and got some donuts and they found out it was open until 2:00pm.When they got home they were excited to know that they could go back and get us a Thanksgiving feast.Since I am not feeling good my wonderful and very caring husband took the girls back and got a turkey, potatoes, rolls, pies, and some other fixings. And then Robert is taking over Thanksgiving to make the whole dinner.
Since it is Thanksgiving I would like everyone to know what I am thankful this year
1)For a wonderful husband that happens to be the best dad as well. So i am thankful
for him because with out him I would not have 2 of the best little girls.I am also thankful for the good and bad days we have because at least we have them together.
2)For those 2 little girls that are my whole life that when it comes right down to it
they are very loveable, caring, smart, and beautiful.I love every minute of everyday that i have to spend with them.
3)For a stepson with a heart of gold.
4)Then I am greatful for my mom and dad(and their spouses)and the rest of my family who cares and show their love to us throughout the year.
5) I know i already mentioned my mom but i am thankful that even through she lives far away she is a part of our lives everyday. She is my best friend that helps me understand things and always helps me to the best person I can possibly be and for that I Love her very much.
I know I have alot more to be thankful for but this is a good start.I would love to know what all of you are thankful for just leave me a comment and I think it will be neat to hear what you are thankfull for as well.
God Bless to you and have a Blessed Thanksgiving.

Change In Plans For Thanksgiving!!!

Courtney is not feeling well I guess this bug is holding on for everything it has.I called grandma and grandpa and my dad to let them know we would not be going to Fredricksburg for Thanksgiving. They all wished we could but understood that the kids come first.Courtney feels really bad and thinks its all her fault that we cant go so i told her it was Gods will that everything happens for a reason(Thanks Mom)I told her that I did not feel very well either so it was a good thing we did not go.I told the girls we will have a McDonals or pizza thanksgiving with a side of chicken noddle soup.HAHA Actually the girls thought that was a funny idea and are ok with it.
On to other news I put a call in to my family doctor and he called me back this evening.I told him that it will be a while before I see the GI doctor(You can see how long it will be if you read my last post)and he told me that is to bad Tricare is making me go back to the military doctors and that if they left me out in town he could get me into one next week.So I have been doing my own research (or i guess you can say self diagnosing)for the last two days and according to what i read all colitis are treated the same with a sulfur drug and steroids. So while I was on the phone with the doctor I mentioned this to him and he agreed.I have went and picked up all my medical records from the several doctors that i have seen and my doctor has never even seen what the colonoscopy or endoscopy or the stuff I had done at the military hospital and I have all the records. He would like me to bring them to him on Monday he wants to go through them and then call one of his GI friends and go over it with him and see if we cant start a steriod program to get the imflamtion down and then I would have no pain.yeah me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way one more thing Courtney said today while I was talking to my mom.Courtney feels better in the mornings and so Courtney says "I think I just have a night time bug"My mom and I just laughed Courtney is so sweet and so innocent that she just thinks of everyone.Everyone say a little prayer for her and for me to get these doctors on tract.

The last few days

I know it has been a few days.Courtney has been really sick with vomiting and diarrhea and Kelsey has has a cough and sore throat. So I have been nurse goodbody for a few days.(ha ha)more like nurse falling apart body. For those of you that don't know I been having intestinal problems they seem to think it some sort of colitis.I have been to several different doctors and now my insurance wants me to be seen at the military hospital.I went and saw the surgeon last week and he was talking surgery then I went back this week and he wants me to see a GI doctor and redo the test I have already done that way all the test are done thru the military.I find the whole process STUPID I just had them all done a month ago so why redo it.I am sorry but I guess I am just venting on here.So the surgeon said he would expedite(I do not know how to spell it but he said it would make it a fast process)They called yesterday to schedule the GI appointment and they were so fast that I will be seen on Dec 31.ha ha Yeah how fast the military works so I guess it will be a few months before anything is found out.
Sorry for venting but I wanted everyone to know what a mess all this is.
